Case Study 3

Consultus was tasked with providing the solution to refurbish and update a local youth club. The emphasis was to gain the support and skills of the local community to encourage regeneration in the locality.

Consultus researched the situation by engaging the community in focus groups from which a range of actions were developed in support of community led regeneration plans. A short-term feasibility study was conducted that brought together members of the community to participate in the regeneration of their areas. A report was produced with a full range of options that led to the development of a business plan and the design and submission of three funding applications, one of which was tailored towards the development of social enterprises.
